Okay, Monroe

While I can read bully romances, they are not my favorite. However, I am now convinced the Twisted Sisters cannot write a bad bully romance. They are absolutely the BEST in writing the push-and-pull between characters that keeps you engaged and interested despite some of the bully moments may not be the "nicest" feeling. The bully moments are always emotionally wrought and not just blood boiling. It's addictive and I'm not sure what that says about me, but I absolutely LOVED this book. It really surprised me because I was also expecting the bullying from the get-go and it's not. It's kind of a delayed one. The plot tries to "justify" the reasoning the boys are bullying and while it's very flimsy, I can suspend disbelief for it fine.

I also didn't think I'd read a quarantine book...Not that I've had the chance to come across many of them, but, let's all be honest, after living through Covid, there's no way I want to READ about something similar to it. Reading is my escape, it's why I like fantasy because it's NOT this world so I can suspend reality. This quarantine, though, didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Maybe because it has tension throughout the entire book that you sort of forget. Whatever the case, it definitely didn't bother me.

I've read enough RH or "why choose?" novels to also pick-up that guys tend to fall into a range that has something that connects them together. You usually have the damaged one, the rich one, the sunny one, etc. These guys were much closer to each other in personality than I thought and while they have their unique personalities, I found myself liking all of them. There is not one that I clearly am "he's too sunny for me..." I can't pick who I like the best.

The ENDDDD. I was not expecting that much action at the end. Whoa! It is intense ending and the end when they all turn a corner? Wow. I finished the book and could not go to sleep for an hour afterwards. I was hyped up on that ending and also wanting to read the next book to see how it changed their dynamics. I'm still thinking about it often, but have other books I need to read first and I'm dying just a smidge inside not being able to get back to it.

If you're a Twisted Sisters fan, definitely recommend this. If you're not, but love the tension of a push-and-pull dynamics...go read this!

dark, addicting and so much fun

Truly could barely put this book down. This is my second series I’ve read by the Twisted sisters and their writing is so addicting. Can’t wait for book 2!

Holy smokes I am not okay. This book is crazy out of this world. 10 out of 10 recommend. This is definitely on my top five of 2021. Tatum is a badass and you can't help but love to hate Saint Kyan and Blake. Then there's Monroe. Ughhh I think I found me some new book boyfriends. Can wait to jump into the next book
