This book was so freaking fun. The bulk of the story is two days of Naveen and Mira running from bad guys and trying to find something without knowing what it is. It's a second chance romance too and absolute perfection. Not a ton of steam until the end but I was so invested in their adventure I didn't care. Can't wait for Emi and Sejal's stories. Pleeeeeaaaase.

What a ride!!

DNF at 34% I was really disappointed I was expecting more cause the premise sounded so fun but was a snoooooooze fest.

I received this book as an advanced reader copy from the publisher back in 2022 in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I can't believe how much I ended up enjoying this. I have read (and really enjoyed) Rai's Modern Love series, but I was a little hesitant to try something new from her. However, I should have known Rai would provide because this was so so fun! First of all, this was a second chance romance which I am learning that (when done right), I love to read - especially when the man has just continued to yearn for the heroine throughout their time separated from one another. Naveen and Mira were clearly made for one another despite the more criminal backgrounds of one of our main characters. And listen, did them getting kidnapped and roped into an action movie with jewel thieves and criminal underground adventures feel completely unrealistic? Yes. Did I eat it up anyways because it was a fun romp and reminded me of a romcom? Also yes!! This was fun and a nice change of pace for a romance novel, what can I say.

this was very entertaining omg, i feel like i was watching a movie.
 NO THIRD ACT BREAKUPPP!!
i can’t remember if there was a third act conflict but rest assured there was no breaking up!! the plot was all over the place but in the best way possible.
my man was down baddddd for her while she was in denial the entire time. they’re relationship was filled with banter which i can definitely get behind!

A really fun read! Should definitely be rated higher for originality and chemistry.

DID NOT FINISH: 42%

I made it up to the poker game where suddenly every character spoke like somebody out of an Ocean's Eleven parody. Up til that point, the plot was just ridiculous enough to be considered silly (in a fun way) instead of totally unbelievable. It wasn't so terrible, I just don't really care to finish it.

Another binge read! This was so much fun. Honestly I'm not sure if the entire crime everything made sense but Alisha Rai did it yet again and made me not care about that at all. This book was a blast!
