This? This book I liked. A lot. A heisty romance with nice chemistry between the MCs. I love a good romance with some kind of high stakes criminal element and this book was just fun. It had some classic drama/soapy tropes that I loved and I want it to be a movie.

3.5 stars

if i read the words “pregnant pause” one more time i am going to lose my mind

Fast-paced and really interesting read! It started off like a rom com and then quickly became more action and suspense-heavy. I love a second chance romance and the family back stories added another interesting layer to the plot.

honestly this book shocked me with how good it is like i can believe it!! this is a scavenger hunt with guns and marriage matches?? it’s so interesting!! 4.5 stars

I loved this book! Ex's kidnapped together and sent on a journey through Vegas to uncover lost family secrets and jewels! There was plenty of action and funny moments and seeing sht MCs learn the unvarnished versions of eachother and fall even harder was perfect! So many twists and turns and beautifully written, I truly enjoyed this book! I can't wait to read more of what the author's written

rep: Indian-American protagonists and side characters; (South Asian-American author)
cw: alcoholism, PTSD, mentions of death of a parent (father)

I've decided not to review this properly (aka a full post on my blog) because honestly I don't have anything to say about the book. I wasn't really emotionally invested in any of it; it's fast-paced, thank god, but as much as the plot was moving, I couldn't bring myself to care about the characters. So yeah, this book just didn't work for me, but hopefully will work for you!

original review:

eh is all I have to say so reviewing this will be fun

This was a fun read! Maybe a tad long (and not enough sex) but it was fun to read an almost mystery/thriller romance.

This was such a fun one. I've been a fan of Alisha Rai's for a while, and when the synopsis of this dropped, I was all in. It's very, very different from her previous books, and I demand more. It was such a wild ride, and I didn't want to put it down.

Full of hijinks, con men and con women, jewel thieves, and set against the backdrop of seedy Las Vegas, it still manages to handle both MCs emotional growth, development, and have them both come together as a team and couple. I really loved both Mira and Naveen as individuals, and how they reflected on the changes each had gone through since their first meeting. I also really want each and every character in this to have their own book (especially the uncles).

More a romantic crime adventure than a straight up romance, if you like the Oceans Eleven movies, with an adorable romantic interest, this is totally up your alley. A fantastic mix of adventure, thrills, romance, substance, and fun characters all around. 4.5 stars rounded up.

I received an ARC of this from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
