I enjoyed the action and the jewel heist themes, although I did get lost in the final few plot twists. I also got lost in the cryptocurrency explanations, which didn't help.

I don't need super extended epilogues
detailing the proposal, wedding, and pregnancy. This is the second romance book I've read this month that has had that detail, and while it's cute, it's super unnecessary
I liked the characters and how they worked through their problems and became a team. Cute and fun.

Lawyer in the streets, criminal in the sheets.

There was so much to love about this book.
Mira is a liar and she cannot find true love because she keeps hiding the truth from her future spouses. So, when she meets her ex under less-than-ideal circumstances, she is forced to expose her past.
This was such an interesting book. We have an accountant lady in crisis. A lawyer who is also a mamas boy but in a good way. I mean he called his grandfather to check in on him when they were being pursued by thugs. I loved that he did not beat around the bush when he called her out for her behaviours. She did not deflect and instead was accountable for her actions. I can see a reread in my future because I seem to enjoy this author. I love that she cut off her family rather than remain in the same environment that she hated. She is a little naive but she chose to be on the right side of things.
I loved his relationship with his family. Even when it was strained you could see that there was a lot of love there. I dunno about his brother though. That has to be a very hard relationship to navigate.
ALL IN ALL, A LOVELY BOOK!!

DNF @ 23%. Example: A one-scene minor character forgets about the food allergies of another character AND sticks her with the bill. One or the other would be enough to tell the reader "don't like this person." Using both transgressions is unrealistic and silly.

This was very fast-paced and very fun, and I honestly love the tension of stories that happen over just a day or two, so that was a bonus for me!

Overall, this read like a movie: entertaining and a little unbelievably easy, with not enough time and attention given to the emotional aspects, even though I liked how those aspects were presented. And such an insane ending.

Also:
WTF, Kiran? Why were we supposed to be so quick to forgive him getting married to his brother's fiancee while they were engaged? Falling in love—sure. They can't help that. But eloping behind Naveen's back was an absolutely insane move.

TLDR: Fun setup. Topsy-turvy plot. Would read more by Rai.
