First page of this book had me in an immediate chokehold. It was out of the gate spicy. This is the first book I’ve read by Selena Michaels and I’m absolutely going to be reading more from her. I devoured this book in one sitting and I was not disappointed. I will say that if you’re one to base your book ratings on the reality of the story this book is not for you. Do I feel that it’s possible to be stalked by someone and enjoy it? No. Do I feel like I needed her to not be ok with the aggressiveness of the stalker, also no. For the storyline this scenario worked. It was very much giving Stockholm syndrome and I was actually rooting for the stalker to win her over. Call me crazy but I was intrigued. I do wish the book was longer so that some of the story line was more drawn out as it did feel a little rushed but I’m anxious to see what happens in the next segment of this story.

Eden Williams, her home life is dreadful, and all she wants is her freedom. And Eden knows that her one escape is going to college. it's the perfect escape. Honestly, the idea of getting out and going to college actually gives her more hope than ever. That is until the day her neighbor comes crashing into her life and turns it upside down.
On the run from his family, Silas Caputo decides he is better off hiding as an Italian professor at an American college hes worked at for a while. Never in his life has Silas wanted for anything, but now that he's met Eden, he'd ruin his career happily just to have her.
Silas isn't a hero... even though Eden is in need of one.
In Eden's shadows, Silas is the monster, just waiting, watching her from every corner.
Silas is the darkness that stalks Eden's every move, just waiting for his turn.
Is Eden going to fall for Silas's charms? Will she find out Silas is the one she should run from?
I have been reading the Petrov Legacy Series by Selena Michaels, and other than the first book, I have really been enjoying it. And Stalked to The Alter is the first book in Selena's new series, the Caputo Crime Family. I am going to start off by saying that I have some mixed feelings about this book.
For the most part, I enjoyed this book. Silas is a hoot. Eden is mind-boggling in trying to avoid her family and her strange uncle without a first, second, or even third thought. And she does this for about 85% of the book.
Reality is, though, once again, there was some massive missed grammar and syntax that should have been caught. Hopefully, the 2nd book, which focuses on Silas's brother Sebastian, will be improved on that issue. I will say that Sebastian is younger and more intense than Silas is, so I can't wait to read that story. I loved the action in this book, and the question of Silas being on time or not is one I will leave you with to find out on your own.
