Slow Read

Not the most interesting book I've read from Allen. Happy she included characters from One of her other books but this one is definitely not one of her better books.

Just no patience for this type of story.

This was my fourth Sarah Addison Allen book and it did not disappoint. I liked the small town setting and the focus on friendship. It was sweet and magical and an all-around good read. Loved it.

When I'm in the mood to read a book with magical realism, enduring bonds, friendship, and founding family, as well as charming small towns and whimsical characters, she is the author for you to pick up.
The Peach Keeper is the book brings all that brings all the feels, and you see cameos from her other books.
All four main characters have their secrets, but while looking inside them and understanding their friendship, they can grow and be better people and, ultimately, open up and find their way and fulfill their relationships.

This was a pleasant enough book, just not anywhere near as good as her other books. It felt like there wasn't a whole lot of story here.

Liked it a lot at first, but it got cheesy at the end. And there were so many things that could have been interesting (all of them saying their true thoughts at the meeting) that were never addressed again. Disappointing.

I liked this one a lot. It is such a simple pleasant little book. It has romance--this is about the perfect amount in my book ;o)--I saw that this book was on the NYTimes best sellers this week. I am happy to see that more people have discovered the simple pleasure of Sarah Addison Allen.
