I had very high expectations for this book and I can proudly say it SURPASSED them all! Jennifer's writing is amazing, it flows through your mind so smoothly. I did not expect Sage to be so lovable. I thought the twists in this book were unexpected at best. And you will not be disappointed when you put this book down, and you could probably read it in one sitting. I didn't but if I had the time I totally would've. I can't stop blabbering about this book I will literally tell everyone to read it. I look forward to reading the next one.

An amazing book. Although I do have to say I predicted the twist very early on, I told my friend “I beilieve that Sage is truely Prince Jaron.” I am glad to say I was right at the ending of this book. Sage kept so many secrets hidden from the reader, I commend the author for that, beautiful writing. I am going to start the next book immediately!

I liked this book a lot. I've read a bunch of disappointing YA fantasy this year, so I was happy to read something well done. Though I thought the setting was good, the characters are what really make this book. More complete review to come.

Wow, this book was really good! The author's writing style is witty and quick, lending a nice snarky attitude to her main character, Sage. This is a little bit mystery, a little bit fantasy and overall a nice middle reader series that is sure to appeal to both genders. I had my suspicions about a few major plot points for awhile, but the author does a good job keeping you guessing until the end and then weaving the whole plot together really nicely. Eagerly looking forward to book two in this trilogy.
