I didn't like this better than Beach Read but I appreciated the crossover of Kimmy. Although honestly I have rarely been touched by something the way beach read did. Really enjoyable though and Harriet's difficulty around ambition rang true.

3.9!! I have a lot of thoughts about this book because I honestly really did love it, but I also feel like everything that needed to happen happened towards the end of the book. It is such a sweet novel about love and friendship and being okay with not meeting other people’s expectations and doing things for yourself, but I feel like it was just all smooshed towards the back of the book. I mean, I was so invested and torn that I genuinely had to google to see if the Harriet and Wyn would get together towards the end because I couldn’t bear them not being together, but I feel like it was just at the cusp of being THAT book and just fell short for me

ok honestly this book was really sweet. i really liked the way the author writes, very poetic at times. it’s a rom com so set your expectations for dialogue and plot fairly low, but y’all already know i’m sorta a sucker for that anyway… it tugged at my heart and my sick and twisted self sorta hoped for a diff ending but no spoilers here. emily henry u did it again <3

Ten thousand stars. Emily Henry herself needs to refill my tear ducts because there is not a drop of water left in my system after this book, it all escaped through my eyes and nose. I will never be the same again. I will think about this book in the afterlife. Happy Place ripped my heart out but then kissed it and put it back together and now I have a different heart because I have to walk around the rest of my life thinking about every single character in this book. Oh my god oh my god HAPPY PLACE
