Unfortunately, this was really a disappointment for me. It was overall frustrating to read and the main character was similarly frustrating. That is not to say I don't understand why the book and character was written this way. The main character is a young adult dealing with the sudden death of his brother, but that understanding did not make it any easier to read. It did not help that by the end the main character had not reflected or apologized to anyone they hurt other than their parents. He did and said horrible things to both his best friends and his brother's best friend.  It was understandable to an extent considering what he was going through. However, he never apologized or even reflected on his part in how those relationships fell apart. Which ended the story in a way that made me just overwhelmingly frustrated with both the main character and the narrative. Honestly, I really wish I liked it as the concept of the story sounded super interesting,  but I just think this book was really not for me.
