I'm not typically a romance novel type person, but this was adorable. It was a short and sweet novel with lovable characters. I loved that Cordy wasn't a "typical" Christian character. She wasn't "perfect" and her struggles and short comings were discussed. Go-go was my absolute favorite, of course!
Knowing the author of a book changes how you read it and how much of an impact it has on your life. There were several lines in this book that pierced my heart, and made me inspect my heart and relationship with others and with Christ.
if you asked my favorite character I would say Poppy. Children, especially babies in books will never grow old. So much laughter and love appear with them in a book.
Cordy’s love for Poppy was a true picture of what a mother’s love should be. I love the mention of the baby monitor, it helped make Cordy more like a normal parent in this world, more relatable. Fairy tale books are good and all, but relatable, realistic characters are where it’s at for me!
I giggled over Cordy’s reaction to Ronan’s beard

This was one cute, sweet story. I loved the pacing and length. I loved the cover and the cute characters. Storm made me want a goat named Go-go. I loved the exposé on beekeeping. It seemed well researched and we got to learn as Cordy did without any infodumping. It's a feat I have to laud.
What I loved most was how Storm addressed the stigma single mothers face. It was brilliant and realistic. I also loved the role Barney played in helping Cordy understand that Christians who discriminate do not reflect the heart of God.
What I didn't like though was Malcolm Carmichael the second. Heaven knows I would have beaten him to a pulp. Cordy was rather too gracious for my tastes. I would have preferred a little more conflict, but the conflict in this book was nice too. I also would have liked Cordy and Ronan's love to go through some trial.
All in all, it was a quick, honey-sweet read that would leave you wanting cute babies, orphaned goats and honey bees.

This book was super cute!
Vivian & Barney were lovely. Corwynn was… well, Corwynn—let’s just say he grew on me. I don’t have words for how annoying Malcolm was. Charlotte was a dear. And Cordy, Poppy, and Ronan were precious. (Instant bonus points for Ronan being Irish!)
Everything about this story is cosy, from the characters to the charming English village. I loved how the villagers rallied around Cordy when it mattered most.
The romance between Ronan & Cordy was sweet. Personally, I found things moved a little fast. It’s a short book, and they didn’t know each other long before getting engaged. But that’s really just personal preference. :)

Super cute book. I liked the romance (adorable!), the humor, and all the characters (except the ones we weren’t supposed to like, of course. I’m looking at you, Malcolm.) As a child-lover, I especially enjoyed Poppy, Cordy’s daughter, and, I liked seeing Cordy’s life as a single mom. I also appreciated the realness of the book. Often, characters’ lives in fictional books become so far-fetched that they aren’t relatable, but the characters in Meant To Bee were all so ordinary and realistic. Overall, I didn’t expect much from this book but I ended up really enjoying it. One of the best romances I’ve read, I think. 4.5 stars.
Everything seems to be going wrong for Cordy. Her cottage is leaking, her job search is coming up empty, and she just received a shipment of beehives. When an attractive man shows up with a goat, she’s completely done in. Will Cordy be able to keep her home, find a job, and support Poppy?
I loved the quaint little English town setting with the wonderful helpful characters. Cordy is so genuine. I love her thoughts and how she tries to stay positive through all the tough moments and her willingness to try new things. I like how understanding Ronan is and how he is so great with kids. Plus he can fix about anything. I thought it was very well paced. Especially for a novella. It didn’t seem rushed. The characters had depth and the backstory was explained.
I’d recommend for people who like sweet small town romance with subtle Christian themes.
This book comes out August 20. Thank you to the author for the eARC. All opinions expressed are my own.
