i enjoyed it for the most part. i feel like while it portrayed addiction very well it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. i feel like this is a very solid 4  - 3.5 star book.

also, fuck silas and that stupid baby.

It gave off What Moves the Dead and Mexican Gothic vibes, but still a good morbid read. Didn’t care for any of the characters though.

This is NOT a horror book
It’s really just a boring coming of age book.  With really sad characters that can’t move on and need approval. 

It was a 1.5 star book for me. I rounded up to 2 bc the writing was very descriptive. It gave me great visuals.
