I read this during a time of self discovery in grad school and appreciated all that I learned. Ben we challenged me to get to know who God made me to be instead of wallowing in self doubts and self hatred.

Too wordy. Did not like the way it was written. The idea is great and I completely understand what the idea is but not the way it was given to us..

I appreciate how this book enabled me to consider my relationship with God and who I am. I have not figured it all out, but I am working towards doing so.

I was tagging a different book on Goodreads for future reading when I saw this on the right hand margin. It was available to borrow immediately from our local library‘s love you and so I did. It’s really fantastic! It is short and very easy to put into practice… It is a Christian take on self knowledge and uses typical stories and characters to illustrate different psychological tools for self knowledge. I particularly like the practice of imagining you could serve Jesus in conversation through the story of scripture... for the sole purpose of imagining Jesus presence would feel like. It also brings in the Eastern concept of attachment through Western Christian practice. I would recommend this to anyone who is open to self work in general but especially if you are Christian.
