Rounding up from 3.75. It was good, well written, but I likely won’t reread it.

This book was problematic from the get go. The idea of a company that breaks up with a partner for you, via email no less, is loathsome. Becoming Indian in a week by attending a wedding… offensive. Falling in love in a week of family events… for real? And the lack of communication by practically everyone involved was terrible.

I kept reading, hoping somehow it would get better but in the end I couldn’t look away, like one watches a train wreck.

(Disclaimer: I grabbed this book from the library based on a cute cover and the idea of someone reclaiming their own cultural heritage… I should have looked more closely and paid attention to the mediocre ratings.)

Definitely enjoyed this book - recommended. I look forward to seeing what the author will write for her next book!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc!

I enjoyed this rom-com! It’s a pretty easy, fast-paced read. The characters were interesting, the plot was entertaining, and the writing was well done! The romance was a bit too fast paced, though, in my opinion, and the ending was definitely a bit too rushed for me; I definitely would have liked to see a bit more resolution. Despite this, I still enjoyed the book :)
