If I didn't live in the PNW, I'm not sure I would've found this nearly as charming but I do and I did. There were a lot of fun facts and tidbits in here, some I shared with delight and others to horrify my friends. I had no idea there were so many types of flies, but her descriptions of spiders could not sway me unfortunately. I do wish it had ended on a season other than autumn because most of that chunk was creepy crawlies (so sorry, author) or horrific funguses.
