Daniel Vargas is the CEO of an architectural firm, Cambridge group. Daniel always present this facade to the world of happy, always looking immaculate and satisfied individual while the truth is a bit more complicated than that.

Mimi Pennington is a publicist and an excellent one at that. She’s been working her way up to get the esteemed position of a partner. Mimi because of her upbringing views independence and financial security as extremely important and relationships not so much.

I really liked the chemistry between Daniel and Mimi. From the first chapter its obvious that Daniel loves to spar with Mimi and is extremely attracted to her. Daniel was smitten with Mimi from the start while Mimi views him as an annoying bug that refuses to leave. Of course she’s also attracted to him but really doesn’t want to be. I really enjoyed their banter especially in the first few chapters with them teasing each other and trying to one up each other.

They were great together, as the story progressed it was great to see both of them open up to each other and being vulnerable with each other. They had just the right amount of chemistry, teasing and sweetness to their relationship. This was just one of those stories where its just so easy to like both the leads and their story and how they fell in love.

This was my first book by the author, I quite liked the writing and the protagonists as well as the secondary characters. I will certainly be reading more from the author.

Quibbles:
SpoilerI feel like ending was slightly bit rushed and I do wish that we had gotten a bit more at the end, it felt a bit abrupt, I mean does Mimi become a partner? What about Nina working with the Cambridge group? What about Mimi’s mother? Maybe I’m too used to reading longer length books because of which this felt like it was a tiny bit shorter.

Overall, I quite enjoyed it.It had humour, romance with a dash of angst and family issues to keep the read interested in Daniel and Mimi’s path to happily ever after.

Probably my favorite of this series, but ultimately I read them because I'm a completist and not because I was super compelled.

These were two stubborn people who fit just right together. This story can be read alone but you get to know a little of both characters in the first book. Mimi and Daniel have some issues, he wants more than just a one night fling and so he rejects her then has to find a way to get back into her life. Once he does they stay friends for a while but the chemistry is there all along.

Quite an enjoyable read, loved how realistic the characters were!

It's a given that Mia Sosa writes sensual stories. In my opinion she deserves credit for her ability to write sexy stories that are captivating and characters that deliver more than just hormones and looks. Front and center are problems that are prevalent and relatable. Getting Dirty with the CEO examines sexism and issues with self worth through the eyes of two very proud people. Mimi is in the business of show and tell, but despite her chosen career has hidden depths to her that alter her opinion of the world. Men in particular. Daniel's imagination helps him find and create beauty, but his connection to cynical Mimi is a challenge that he thrives on conquering. A pessimist and an optimist should not work. Yet, they share some of the same outlooks and challenge each others ideals. This is only my second novel by this author. The message her stories emit are more powerful than any heated attraction.

Mimi is the balls to the walls spunky best friend. She is the wildly inappropriate one. She is also the polar opposite at work. Two opposite sides of one coin and it has Daniel confused.

Daniel has been verbally sparring with Mimi for quite sometime. He knows she doesn't like him, but has no idea why. Whatever her reason, it is deeper than their teasing and it it's him. He wants to be more than a target for her barbs.

He wants more of her than she is willing to give. A lot more. But Mimi is a closed off person. She's not willing to crack...not even for Daniel. Or is she?

Getting Dirty is a fun and filthy addition to the series. If you have read the the other you will be familiar with the characters, if not you won't have trouble reading it- you just won't be as well informed. It's not an issue though.

I love Mimi's fire. I'm glad she found a worthy adversary. Daniel's no slouch either...It's a sweet sexy story that will keep you entertained.

Never have I ever read a book by Mia Sosa...you can bet your booty I will look for more now!

Mimi and Daniel..wowza! Even though they know each other they don't really "know" each other if you catch my drift. It's fun to read and go on the road these two take.

I do have to say when I started this i was surprised. I never got a chance to read the other books that came before this one but I am for sure going to now.

Definitely a new author for me to find and consume her books

"I can’t forget that night, okay? And the idea that we’re just going to pretend it never happened seems wrong somehow.”

It continues to bite at Mimi that Daniel rejected her even knowing why. I love that Sosa doesn’t correct this easily. Trust is hard for Mimi. Daniel may have been well intentional but he hurt her. It takes time for her to trust him again. And just as she does, she gets pulled into working for him.

The short of it is: Mimi needs Daniel's firm as a client. Her goals and her future are very much at stake. I love that Sosa doesn’t soften how this could impact Mimi

There's also a good conversation about professionalism. I agree curating an image to feel safe in the workplace comes at cost. Mimi starts this to avoid harassment. But it's not her. It doesn't protect her. She still experiences sexism. (draft)
