Umm…WTF…Actually WTF…I have never been left on a cliffhanger such as this.

The characters were much more enjoyable and distinct. I though the writing was better and we actually had character development for most of our main cast, especially Zila! I Love her!!! Every time her perspective came up, I was so excited. The tone of this second book was much darker than the first.

I am not feeling nothing.

I was crying every time she said this. Her backstory is so heartbreaking.

I had really mixed feelings about Saedii. When we first met her, I really thought she was Kal’s ex, but nope it’s the crazy sister. I had a hard time picturing her because all the descriptions of the Syldrathi are that they are tall, hot, and have white hair. So she has to dye it black probably regularly. I don't know how I feel about her and Tyler. -_-

Anyway…something else I found weird was them bringing up tobacco and how nobody smokes it anymore because they figured out it was bad for you hundreds of years before. You can’t tell me they haven’t found something else out there twice as addictive and bad for you as tobacco.

Kal and Auri’s relationship is the most confusing thing about this book. Kal lied about who his father was, and everyone blows up in his face. It just seems a little extreme to me but hey. And him and Auri obviously weren’t each other’s everything if one lie can break them apart.

Why do the authors have to keep stabbing poor Tyler in the heart?!?!?!?! It was so sad to see Scar and Tyler split up. The Jonas twins need to stick together. And their half- Syldrathi??!! I was kinda shocked about that. Tyler can communicate with Waywalkers and Scarlett says when they are deciding whether to help the imprisoned Waywalkers, “Can’t you feel their pain?” (227) So it looks like she has some Syldrathi power too.

It is criminal how little Finian was in this book. We could have cut some of that Echo part out and filled it with Finian. I really loved the development of the friendship between Auri and Finian. I love that he calls her Stowaway, so cute.

I’m not sure why the authors feel the need to repeat every piece of information they told us in the last book, maybe if they didn’t, they could have fit the ending into this book

4.5/5 stars. That was a non-stop action packed ride the whole way through. Every page there was something going on, every moment was intense, dramatic and on the edge of my seat because everybody’s life was at stake. Squad 312 was legit running for their lives and trying to save the galaxy from start to finish.
There was so much going on it was sometimes hard to wrap my head around because damn if this book isn’t the definition of space opera.
I loved learning more about each character’s backstory and the way they all grew closer. There was a major plot twist that I saw coming from like the first few chapters of book 1 but it was interesting to see how it played out.
I’m left with so many emotions. That ending was nuts and honestly I now feel a little hopeless and despondent as I wait for the end.

Den her serie er altså vild.. det klør i fingrene for at komme i gang med bog 3

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS

Okay, um... where is the third one? I'm so ready for it! LOL!

Damn! That ending. The wait is really gonna suck for the last installment.

Warning 1: Be prepared for the biggest cliffhanger ever. Warning 2: This is very much young adult. Warning 3: Plenty of the main characters defining traits are extremely toxic
SpoilerHiding yourself and personality to not feel anything (Zila), completely forgetting yourself even in a loving relationship (Kal), using humor to defuse all high tension situations (Finian), always having to be in control (Tyler), having to sexually dominate (Scar) or being force into burning your past away (Aurora)
.

A very young-adult themed book with funny moments and interesting characters. The story continues more or less from the last one as we learn of the aftermath of book 1 and follow 312 on their continued mission. The pacing and flow of the book was good most of the time but the Echo part was straight up boring and a complete waste of pages. The characters are developing as the pages go on and they show their good and bad sides. I don't really understand why Aurora can go from being 100% completely in love to have the actions she did from such a small thing, really. Zilch understanding. While it was completely understandable from Scar's side. I guess for plot convenience it had to happen.

And what a cliffhanger. Annoying more than anything, which isn't how a book should end.

Couldn't finish this book. The premise was interesting but the corny love story got in the way. I'm sure it plays an important part of the overall arc, but I just couldn't go on.

meh, it was okay. could take it or leave it. fast lil read. cliffhanger was interesting!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

Somebody send help. This book broke me.
