This was a lovely historical fiction / fantasy / romance, with just the right blend of all three genres. It was a little too slow-paced for my tastes at first, but got much better towards the end. I am a huge fan of Maggie Stiefvater's The Raven Cycle and accompanying Dreamer Trilogy, and the writing in this book is just as beautiful as I've come to expect from her. Her strength is typically in her characters, and I wasn't as invested in either June or Tucker as I'd hoped to be, but I still liked the book.

The yearning! Ugh, so good.
