I might have enjoyed this more if I hadn’t listened to the audiobook. Lee Samuel’s voice gave me the ick.
What a cute Christmas read. I started this on November 1st because there's no time like now to begin playing Mistletoe by Justin Bieber.
Tre and Tessa were literally "Invisible String" by Taylor Swift. Their meet-cutes and early interactions not only made me laugh, but it's like the universe kept wanting to push them together. I found myself laughing out loud at quite a few times throughout this book.
Tessa needed a hug during many parts of this book. I loved her character throughout this book, and her spontaneity is something I aspire to have. I think a roadtrip with no particular destination and Tessa would be so fun. Then we have Army Ranger Tre. Honestly both of their characters were so much complex than I expected, and each had different layers that we can unpack. His character also made me want to give him a hug. Both characters needed a hug. While at first he may have been peeved by Tessa, I love how slowly he began to melt and embrace the chaos.
Can I say I'm not often shocked by plot twists, and I don't know if I was just enjoying the journey and egg nog, but when the *plot twist* occurred, I honestly gasped. I was like ":o". The end honestly stressed me out quite a bit, but it's all about the journey to the HEA, right, haha.
Overall, what a cute and fun book by Piper Rayne. Got me in the spirit, and now I will read the first book in this universe (I didn't feel lost or anything having not read it). I honestly felt a little sad finishing this book, but it could be a fun yearly pickup as an easy read to get into the holidays.
With that, thank you to Piper Rayne and Val PR for a copy of this book in exchange for a completely honest review. Happy reading!

Very good wholesome Christmas romance! Once in a while it was cringe even for me but overall I loved it a lot.

I’m still feeling the Christmas spirit hence reading this in January. It was cute and very rom-comy vibes. Very airy and light and what you’d expect for the type of book it is!

Definitely not my favorite by Piper Rayne, I wasn't a huge fan of this strangers to lovers holiday romance. The chemistry between the MCs felt a little flat for me and I just wasn't all that interested in the story as a whole. Good on audio but not one I would recommend as a must-read this season.
