You will not be disappointed if you decide to read This is Falling.

CUTE AF

I finally finished this bad boy! And it was such a sweet story. The first half of the book was really good and had me hooked the whole time. I loved the author’s writing style & the way they built each character. I even fell in love with the side characters like Cass & Ty. I think Rowe’s story was unique and heartbreaking but also so empowering how she conquered so many fears and pushed through. She was a great lead character and I really enjoyed watching her blossom and rebuild herself with Nate by her side.

And of course I was swooning over Nate and his adorable playful ways. Their relationship was easy to love but once they said they loved each other (is that really a spoiler? It’s a romance novel so like come on

Damn. This book had such potential. And, going by the other reviews I have read, I am definitely in the minority when it comes to this one, but...in many ways, while it had it's moments, this book was just too overwhelmingly sappy for me.

Rowe has been homeschooled for the last 2 years due to a traumatic event involving the loss of her best friend and boyfriend. She decides to try and come out of her self imposed exile by moving away to go to college, where she meets Nate, a sweet, hopelessly romantic guy who falls for her pretty much instantly.

I have never been a huge fan of insta-love. I much prefer when two characters actually get to know each other before deciding that they are head over heels for the other person. I also don't like needless angst. Something that this book had in spades. While i could understand the heroine's reluctance to get close to Nate, I felt like that aspect of the storyline dragged and just inserted angst where it wasn't needed. For a while it seemed like there was just a constant stream of misunderstandings between the two leads....a plot device that has always seemed like filler to me.

The writing itself was good. And i really enjoyed the dynamic between Nate and his older brother Ty. Plus, there were several swoon-worthy moments involving Nate...a character that while at times came off as overly sappy, i truly did like. He knows instantaneously that he likes Rowe and wants to be with her, but is willing to give her time to deal with the issues she is obviously going through. He's a total sweetheart and I see why Rowe always ended up finding it hard to resist him. Rowe on the other hand was harder for me to warm up to. I understand some of her motivations for how she acted, but...and i know this is going to sound harsh....but sometimes she came off as whiny to me. This i think is where the book suffers the most. The way the author handles that tragedy. I know this wasn't supposed to be the story of Rowe and her high school life with her best friend and boyfriend. But, both Josh and Betsy were never fleshed out enough for me as a reader to care about them. And quite frankly, Rowe hardly mentions the girl who was supposed to be her best friend, and the clearest picture we get of her high school sweetheart, comes from a letter that NATE writes at the end of the book. Which was a problem for me in being able to both care about, and relate to Rowe as a character.

The letter that Nate wrote was beautiful, and it did make me get a wee bit teary eyed. It was probably my favorite part of the entire book. I also liked the over the top ending. It was sweet, romantic and felt like the HEA ending to a big budget Hollywood movie.

This book had it's ups and downs. But overall it was a sweet, if slightly bumpy ride for me.

I loved this book! This is Falling is a beautiful story about falling in love and moving forward. I loved Rowe. She had so much strength and I can't imagine having to deal with everything she had to deal with. Yes, she struggles and has a hard time letting people in but I think that makes her so real. I loved Nate and how patient he was. I didn't agree with every decision he made but I still felt that he was a wonderful match for Rowe and I think his heart is in the right place. The supporting characters were fantastic, I'm so excited this is a series and can't wait to read Ty's story. This was one of those really great books that made me laugh and also made me cry. It was really just a beautifully written love story. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Super cute. I am reminiscing about my college year in USA. The dorm, the party, the frat party, the small and thin wall dorm, the uncomfortable bed, the microwave food. And the hot guys!!

The minor thing I do not like is actually Nate. He seems too good to be true. Rowe is simply warrior. She is a survivor.

I am actually between 3 and 4 stars. But I round it up to 4 stars. Because this book takes me back to my college years.

wow...ginger scott i'm not sure how i've missed you before now but i'm so glad i found you.

i read how we deal with gravity and absolutely fell in love with ginger's writing so when i had the opportunity to review this book i jumped on that chance. i'm sooooo glad i did.

ginger's writing is nothing short of spectacular. her character development is outstanding. the story she is telling makes you so glad you picked up her books.

let me start by saying that NATE PREETER is my new favorite NA BBF. hands down. (for those of you familiar with j.lynn's book wait for you, cam hamilton previously held this spot for me.)

and i love rowe for all the reasons nate loves her - she's down to earth, doesn't get caught up in all the girly crap, knows sports, is witty and entertaining.

the supporting cast is superb...and to find out that ty and cass are getting a book? SHUT YOUR MOUTH!! I NEED THAT BOOK RIGHT NOW!!

i cannot tell you the number of times i found myself with a goofy grin on my face while reading this book.

the bottom line is everyone should read this book...like right now (or i guess when it releases on august 29).
