I’ve read the series and now I’m listening to it.
The second time round I’m starting to notice there’s not a lot of chemistry between Colith and Fortuna.

The book is a little slower to start than book one.

Fortuna and Damon go home so they can try to heal from everything that happened in the Unseelie Court, but then everything definitely kicks up a notch.  Fortuna, the new Unseelie Queen, after completing three trials in the first book, is still dangerously impulsive.

Collith is still guarded and secretive, and Fortuna is constantly trying to figure out what is going on in his head.

Damon finds out he is a father.

We are introduced to the wolf pack that Finn belongs to.  She rescued Fin in book one and he is stuck in his wolf form, so they find his back with the hope they can help force his change back to human.  To say the wolf pack are not nice is a definite understatement.

Poor Oliver, now that Fortuna is mated to Collith, she gets to spend very little time in the dreamworld with him.  When she does visit him, it all appears to be falling apart and Oliver is not his usual self.  There is definitely more to Oliver than we know at this time,

You get more of Laurie, who we found out at the end of book one is the Seelie King in this book as well.  Makes you wonder who will she end up with in the end?   Talking of the end, what a cliffhanger this one left you on.

I really love all the action that happens in her books ! If you like fast-paced, creepy kind of ambience and big plot twist this is for you. What i really like is that the plot twists are very hard to predict and its been a while since I find a series like that. The slow burn is very Nice and i find fortuna really realistic from my point of view. What a didnt like is that the 2 last ending chapters happened really fast and kind of came from nowhere and missed some finesse to my liking.

I loved it. You get more character development, back story, adventure, and Fortuna’s powers are changing and developing. Fortuna is a badass that you root for!!!

Some gore, dark themes, and steamy tension. Lyari and
Laurie are my favorites besides Fortuna. Oliver and Damon are not my favorites. They frustrate me. Im waiting for something to happen with Oliver or will he be a dream forever?

Cliffhanger Ending, makes me want to start the next book right now!
