This was really great, I loved the way addiction and loss were woven through all the generations. It was heart breaking and maybe for some people the end isn't enough, but I think that's the point. To be here at all is enough.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars. A really deep and difficult but important read. Following the stories of generational individuals of an ancestral, indigenous family as they map their own personal, cultural, and historical experiences mostly in the Oakland area. Facing racism, cultural appropriation, addiction, and struggles with identity.
