Okay. This Volume Was Everything. I think this arc has been the best so far in this line. Laura's support network of logan, JUBILEE (i was so excited) and gambit it so incredibly meaningful in regards to how Laura sees herself, because she doesn't recognise them as these people who care about her, it is only towards the end that she says she has gambit's back like he has hers. I AM SO HAPPY AHHH FOR LAURA.

And then, I believe, some characters from the fantastic 4 appeared? and Laura Kinney was a vessel for actual, physical light.

I felt this book was pretty hard to read without the greater context of what was happening in X-Force.

I actually went back and changed my rating on Vol. 1 to four stars so I could rate this one as five stars and it would show my feelings about it more accurately.
I LOVED this one. I loved it so much. It's not quite as high as Captain Marvel on my love list, but it's close.
It had not only Laura and Gambit, but also Logan and Jubilee. Also the Fantastic Four when Spiderman was there instead of Johnny. Laura got to interact with a girl her age who didn't see her as a monster. Gambit asked Logan point blank why he never protected Laura the way he protected Jubilee, and while Logan's answer was a bit weak (he was trying to say they were different kids and needed different things, but I dunno man...) it was a question that needed to be addressed. And when Laura needed him, he did come through for her.
The best part was that when it came time to defeat the villain, Gambit and Logan, and even Jubilee, were no where to be seen. The men weren't there to babysit the girls, and Laura didn't need them to do what she could do. And Sue was wonderful.
It was just so good.

An update; a review of the entire series:
I enjoyed this arc! Some of the art was absolutely awesome, just shining off the page. I loved reading Gambit, X-23's and Jubilee's relationships development, and they were super fun to see play off each other. A lot of action the whole way through, and plenty of side characters pulled in and out- although there was a LOT happening, and occasionally I could have done with a bit more of a breather to actually explore Laura herself and how she was changing, rather than simply thrown into the next mini-chapter of who she was about to meet (and probably, fight). I appreciate that it made every single issue a fun read, but it was a bit jarring to be thrown from one event to the next in succession.
