Reading this book was like having a conversation with a friend. Sure, that friend may give you tough love, but Kendra does it in a compassionate, funny way. She shares practical tips that anyone can immediately use in their kitchens, and I loved how she broke the kitchen into different sections to make your space seem not so overwhelming. The reminder to just do what works for you and not worry about what other people are doing was exactly what I needed to hear. Three words that describe this book: helpful, life-changing, and purposeful.

It gets very repetitive, but it's worth the read. Some of the tips in part three are elementary and, I think, unnecessary. But maybe they are helpful to someone out there.

Like the original Lazy genius, I'm not the target audience for this book. Fairly repetitive but found a few good tips during part 1&2. Part3 had pretty designed pages but as someone familiar with a kitchen, I did not need to read it.

I am on a quest to make meal planning easier. So of course my first step was to google “how to make meal planning easier”. I found an article by Kendra Adachi that I really liked. Then I found out she wrote two books and has a podcast called “The Lazy Genius Podcast”. I was intrigued and wanted to find out more, so I checked out this book.

It is awesome. I will definitely keep coming back to this book as a reference. I also watched some YouTube videos of her putting the principles to work. I am excited and have already Lazy Genius-ed by Fridge (what matters most to be there: easy to find what I need and to have it fully stocked with what I use often) and my cabinets.

I am also reading the first book, The Lazy Genius way and am loving it as well.

Really enjoyed it...and it is a useful tool I know I will be returning to when I need inspiration.

If you are in her target audience, this is likely a helpful book. I found it too declarative. Do this. Don't do that.

And, I am not affluent as I think she expects her audience to be. My best example of this is the expectation that you have a big enough kitchen to have a dedicated dirty dishes zone that you "don't put anything else in ever". Right. I have exactly 2.5 feet of counter space, period. A dirty dishes zone is a good idea. Assuming that there is enough space to keep it clear of everything else, not so much.

I immediately picked up this book after reading The Lazy Genius Way, because I was obsessed with the first book. However, I am a home chef and so this one just didn't hit the mark for me because it was a bit too basic. If you are someone new to cooking, this would be a great read for you!
