I love this dynamic! Dom, sub and switch making it work together. so fun and easy to read. I feel like it could have a better ending but I think there's an epilogue novella so maybe we'll get some more...
also apparently ghost are real and nobody is talking about it

I absolutely loved this book!
The Dom with a Safeword was a really fun, sexy, emotional and HOT read! Q is very blunt, crass and bi, mostly for her best friend Sabrina. When they run into Jude, a gorgeous and kinky Dom, while on an amateur, and non-sanctioned, ghost hunt Q learns that Sabrina is very submissive.
While she knows Sabrina has always done what she said, she has never really pushed it, trying to hide her attraction from Sabrina who is says she is very straight.
When Jude invites them back to his house for a ghost hunt it is not long before he find both woman had found his kinky closet while he was gone. But he realizes his instincts about the two might be right on the money when a demonstration leads to a sizzling display of Sabrina’s submissiveness and Q and Sabrina’s attraction to each other, and Sabrina’s submissiveness.
This is Jude’s last summer free before he has to follow in his family’s footsteps and go to med school, a perfect summer for a no-strings-attached-fling with Q and Sabrina.
After the deal is made the story really kick’s into high gear as they learn about each other inside and outside of the bedroom.
Q is a brat switch, she can submit but it takes a fight to get her to; which she loves the most. She also loves domming Sabrina.
Two Dom’s one sub, two sub’s one Dom. The relationship is very complex but they all fit together so seamlessly that the relationship is pretty much perfect from the start.
Sabrina is new to kink and feeling her way but she is a natural submissive and brat (though not in the league of Q’s battiness) she comes from a family who would never accept her relationship with another woman. So she fights her attraction to Q, but when she was offered the no-strings summer fling to experiment with Q and Jude, with the promise of Q and her still being friends after the summer is over, she agreed pretty quickly.
It is not long before all three of them are falling for each other and the summer is coming to an end. Will things go back to normal? Will Jude be able to leave for med school?
OMG! I must have more of these three characters! I love Q, Jude and Sabrina! They are perfect for each other and one book is just not enough. I hope there is going to be a follow up book. I would love to see how the relationship is growing and how Sabrina is going to deal with her family, etc.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is interested in BDSM romance and looking for a fast paced sizzling read. The Dom with a Safeword is definitely a keeper!
*I received a hardcover/paperback/eBook copy/ARC of this book for free to review from the author/publisher/tour site; this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own.
The Dom with the Safeword is the first book in the Badass Brats Series. Evidently, I have read this book before and only left a star review and not a written one. So, I decided to reread it so I can read more books in this series.
I loved The Dom with the Safeword for the second time. It was totally worthy of it!
This is Sabrina, Q’s & Jude’s story. Jude is a dom and he is getting ready to go off to medical school. So, this is a summer romance and is supposed to be short lived.
I love the seduction of Sabrina by Q. It was very hot and sexy. In fact, this whole book was off the charts hot and sexy as the three of them build their relationships. Sabrina is a perfect submissive with a dose of mischievous. Q is a switch (she will swing both to the domme side and the submissive side) and is a brat!
Jude feels he is up for the management of both Sabrina and Q and boy is he ever! When the three of them get together I thought my Kindle just might melt from the action.
If you love reading BDSM stories then The Dom with the Safeword is the book for you! Easily a 5 star read for me!

I was delightfully surprised by this fun-hot-romantic-kinky story.
It looks like previous reviewers have covered the characters (did I mention delightful?) and plot, so I'll address some of what made this an exceptional BDSM novel.
1. The characters, although clearly crafted to be appealing, were ordinary people. No millionaires. No exotic locations. No everything-is-about-our-Lifestyle.
2. The characters explicitly engaged in the kinds of negotiation and respect for boundaries that are necessary for a truly good BDSM relationship -- and did so in a fun, hot way.
3. They used safer sex, but without making it a drag.
4. The passionate, loving, safe, hot play of the primary characters was contrasted -- but not in a finger-wagging way -- with the abusive styles of two supporting characters.
5. Love, friendship, and mutual respect were shown to be absolutely compatible with dominance and submission.
6. It addressed, in a real, compassionate way, the tension between being a kinky person and feeling the need to hide it from your family, and the strain it can put on those involved.
7. Polyamory isn't BDSM, but I will add that this story is a lovely example of one of the ways it can work: three people who truly and passionately love each other, and for whom *both* other partners are essential to happiness.
If you're just looking for a hot, spicy erotic romance, this is a great book -- but if you also are curious about kink and/or polyamory, this would be a great place to start.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

A lot of my friends raved about this, but this one is somewhere between 3-1/2 and 4 stars for me. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of f/f, but mostly because I don't think most writers get it sensual enough for me, a straight girl, to really "get it". Selena Kitt is sort of my gold standard for f/f because she makes me "feel" it. BUT, that said, this was closer than most of the other stuff I've read.
It was definitely interesting to see the dynamic between Sabrina and Q at the beginning. It sort of bothered me at one point when Sabrina's inner dialogue kept saying she's straight when she was clearly bi. In my opinion, if you're attracted to even one person of the other sex, it makes you bi-sexual. Maybe you're 99% for dudes and 1% for girls (only one girl), but in my mind, that kinda makes you bi-sexual. And that Sabrina was able to let Q suck on her tits in the dressing room and really get into it kinda points that direction. Plus, I think Sabrina was still conflicted even after Q had gone down on her. And she really enjoyed it.
Jude was definitely yummy. And creative! I've always wondered why it's a male fantasy to have two women in the bed, because it just seems like so much work unless the girls are into each other, too. Plus, unless the guy has incredible staying power, one girl is going to end up without cock, and that's just a shame, lol! And even while Sabrina tried to ignore her feelings/attraction to Q, Jude was able to make sure everyone was taken care of. Good Dom. :-) I also liked that the authors didn't ignore the potential jealousy issues.
I also thought Sabrina's introduction into BDSM was pretty hot. I can totally imagine her freaking out, seeing what Jude is doing to Q, not understanding that Q needed the violence. I'd totally be the Sabrina in their love triangle, lol! While I read about BDSM, I'm not sure I could watch it done to someone else without flinching and seriously wondering if she's really OK. I thought Jude and Q both did a decent job of making sure Sabrina knew all was well.
My heart broke a bit near the end, but ultimately everything worked out satisfactorily. I wonder what Sabrina's family will do when they find out. I also really wish something really bad happened to that Eddie guy (I think that was his name... the dude with the farmhouse). And I expected Nico to come back, but that didn't happen.
So anyway... it was an enjoyable read. I'll read the Christmas one that goes with it, and if more come out in the series, I'll read them. I love Cari Silverwood, and after reading this one, I suspect I'd like books by the other two authors as well. Actually, I did read something else by Leia Shaw, and it was really good, too.

I finally finished this book. It was not a bad book, just not completely to my taste. I did catch myself smiling a few times throughout and I thought the love story was great. I am not usually one for reading this type of books, and every now and then a short story is okay, but this I think was just too much for me. I also felt like maybe Jude was superfluous, as in it really should have been a story about the Q and Sabrina, but they added Jude in for the heck of it. I know that isn't completely what i mean, but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Jude seemed sort of like an after thought, although I did like each character! I give this a 3-3.5 star rating.
