Forced proximity, main characters on the run, secretive assassination attempts on the main characters and their families, family secrets, broken family connections: what more can you ask for? A very enjoyable story that I only remembered the final twist to because of an unusual name
mine, lol: Karissa
And all the loose ends get tied up into a nice little bow (but not in a contrived way).

So much action and back and forth down time then danger time. The romance, while passionate, was sweet and innocent. I definitely didn't see the plot twist after they found out who the villains were. As always Sherrilyn Kenyon kept me on the edge of my seat.

Another great read by Sherrilyn Kenyon. In another recent review I had mentioned how much I love the lost princess/prince coming home to find their family. This was a great futuristic take on that story. Ms. Kenyon brought back some of my favorite characters from earlier novels in this series for some great cameos. Our hero, Caillens is an extremely strong and fierce fighter. The heroine, Desideria, is almost the female equivalent except with less world experience. They are thrown together after plots to kill their parents and even though both are weary to open up to strangers, their circumstances finds them drawing close very quickly.

Extremely well written emotionally, you really feel for both the h/h for all that they have had to endure growing up. They had such a connection because of trauma in their childhood that it lead to such a spark. Loved them and hope to see them as a cameo in a later League series book.

This was by far one of my favorite Sherrilyn Kenyon books. I loved it. I loved Caillen and Desidera both so much. I love how Desidera defeats her aunt and gets a spot on her mothers guard. I hate how her sister is so mean and determined to take out Desidera and her entire family. I love how Caillen saves her life after her fellow guards attempt to take her life. I loved how with some help from friends, Cailen and Desidera manage to take out her sister and see their father and mother safe. 10 stars!!!

A great revisit with Caillen and Desideria. I forgot how charming Caillen is. Another warrior with a teddy bear center for those he loves.

Desideria is one of the first woman in this series that I really liked from the get-go. She is an extremely talented warrior, but completely out of her element off of her world. Her bumbling throughout the first part of the book totally won me over. She has to adapt to relying on Caillen very early on in their relationship. Trust isn't easy for either one of them, but I found myself rooting for both of them very early on.

Caillen's entire world gets turned upside down, when he's saved at the last minute and discovers he's not who he thought he was. Toss in assassination attempts and cultural lessons (which is hysterical) ... Caillen's not exactly having the best time of his life. Darling and Maris are along for help & support (which is also highly entertaining).

Chayden, Fain & Dancer factor in this story in a big way.

Lots of political plays going on in this book.
