Um Yikes😬 that’s the only way I can start this because this was a freaking rollercoaster. . . And I don’t like rollercoasters in real life soooo let’s get into it🫣

I’m gonna start by saying I thoroughly enjoyed 70% of this book, like seriously! I was laughing my butt off, kicking my feet and giggling because I’ve been WAITING to get to this book!

Halsey freaking HOLMES had me in a CHOKEHOLD😩 If my rating was based on my love for this man, it would get an infinite amount of starsšŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø He was literally the sweetest, most sensitive golden retriever MMC I’ve ever read and the MOUTH on this man?!šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

Now Blakely. . .I wanted to like her yall I really did, but she made it sooooo hard🄲😭 Mentioning your ex every 5 minutes in EVERY conversation? Idk she said her relationship with him wasn’t bad, talking about him nonstop seemed like a trauma response and like my girl needed some serious therapy😬 Then she was so back and forth about Halsey, like ā€œoh he’s like a brother,ā€ then ā€œoh he’s my friend.ā€ ā€œHe’s not my type,ā€ then ā€œHe’s waaaay out of my league.ā€ I get dizzy easily and her not knowing what she wanted and flip flopping back and forth made me EXTREMELY dizzy🫠

I will say that the group chat was freaking HILARIOUS like no matter whatšŸ˜‚ The gc (and the spice which was freaking DELICIOUS🄵🤭) saved the book fr🄓

And idk maybe it’s just me, but I feel like the part about Halsey and his family was so rushed and because this  was such an integral part of who he is, it should’ve been addressed in more than just one chapter. The whole last chapter just pissed me off real bad if I’m honestšŸ˜‚šŸ˜

Like I said, I really enjoyed MOST of this! I just feel like maybe if it was longer and the ending wasn’t so rushed I would’ve enjoyed it more?

I am officially addicted to Meghan Quinn books. Every book of hers has me cracking up so hard I’m crying. This one had me legit crying at the end. I’m sad that this series is over, but fingers crossed we get a Posey book soon. Words cannot describe how excited I am for that one.

It was a bit clunky at the beginning, definitely felt self published. Admittedly, I didn’t read the other books in the series — didn’t think I needed to, and technically I didn’t, but it would have helped me keep track of the initial onslaught of characters/text banter.

Still enjoyed the book once I was into it! Fun concept, and lovable characters.

Okay… Halsey is my favorite.
