This felt part prose, part poetry, but still grounded. I think it’s because the emotional connection to whoever’s POV the reader is on is so strong and salient. It was so short, and yet we get so much insight into the characters, and just enough of their history to crave more. This story felt very vivid and textured, and I’m really excited to read more by this author.
