Won this book in a giveaway and I had quite a lot of fun reading it.
We quickly get enough background to understand how the world works in the story and it's set up in a way that's both entertaining and appealing. I barely wanted to put the book down at first; there were just so much to take in and I wanted to know why there was a reference to X and Y. The two main characters are interesting and I was really into seeing them react to the events as well as seeing how they show character growth.
Without going into spoilers, I saw a couple of things coming but it didn't take away anything from the story and in fact made it even more enjoyable to think that I had noticed the foreshadowing.
It's likely I'll continue the series in the future as it was an easy, entertaining and enjoyable read.

I might not have come across or chosen to read this book if I hadn’t received it in a StoryGraph giveaway but I’m sure glad that I did. It was a lot of fun and a very enjoyable read. Really quirky sci-fi come Western with plenty of twists and turns. I’ll definitely look out for more in the series.
