This short book can be read in circa one and a half or two hours. What I liked best about it were the visualisation exercises in the first chapters, e.g. "The Violet Fire". The author also talks about psychological issues, e.g. how fears can affect the desire for protection. In a later chapter, she recommends cleaning and tidying up one's house before casting a protection spell for it.

The third chapter deals with four archangels who can be invoked for various forms of protection (Michael, Raphael, Chamuel, Zaphkiel). The following chapter deals with basic exercises that can have a protective effect: Radiate, Shield, Deflect, Cloak. This is followed by magical correspondences for amulets, minerals, botanicals, charms, symbols, and other materials. After that, there is a practical list of magical correspondences for amulets, minerals, botanicals, charms, symbols, and other materials. The next chapter offers several spells and rituals for different kinds of protection, e.g. from unpleasant people, for children, for one's own prosperity, one's own car and driving, and some others.

My only criticism is that many of the spells rely on using specific crystals/minerals or they involve specific angels/saints. But that is surely a matter of personal preference and alignment. Those who like to work with these crystals, angels or saints will certainly be able to achieve a lot with these spells.

Focused a little to much on archangels for my liking.
