It's a good sequel. It's just doesn't interest me much.

This book sees Artie as more complicated than before - albeit more 'softer'.

I don't think that hampers the whole plot lines. As with all Artemis Fowl books, I love it, and this book hints strongly at a sequel (he has twins!).

So, after the meh of The Lost Colony, we're finally back to 100% Artemis Fowl™ awesomeness. The funny thing is that possibly I loved the first two chapters more than the rest of the book: the relationship between Myles, Beckett, and Artemis is so damn entertaining it was a joy to read.
Ten-year-old Artemis is a little shit and we honestly kinda miss him.

I had seen the Artemis fowl movies which was good. But I loved the books more! I had to borrow a couple of the books from the library since I only have some of the series but can’t wait till I can get the rest of the series!

I also really enjoyed being able to translate the symbols that were on the bottom of the pages ☺️ it was fun getting to figure out what the messages were!

Sadly, this one was not read by Nathaniel Parker, as the previous books in the series were. It took some adjusting to, but I did enjoy it. I'm glad I'm caught up in the series now - I need a little Artemis break.
