Pretty nifty... I liked reading this and the steam was great however Joss's panic attacks n wacko behavior twords Braden started to grate on my nervs... other than that it was all good! :)

i’m sorry but this was seriously one of the worst books I have ever read

Bad choice tiktok, I need better recommendations

This book was biggest mess, I sincerely couldn’t wait to finish it just so I could be done. I don’t want to get too into it because I honestly don’t care enough about this book to even be angry like I’m just so apathetic. Yet somehow I managed finish it, however, I skimmed probably 50% of it because it was just so predictable and boring. Joss was a mess who was such a pain in the ass. It’s like she was a walking “I’m not like other girls” endorsement and it was so cringey. The framing device of her being in the therapist office was awful and the most unrealistic part of the entire book. Her therapist was extremely unprofessional and Joss was such a jerk in return, like you’re the one paying the co-pay, sweetie. Braden was probably one of the worst love interests I’ve read in awhile. I typically don’t like to throw this word around but he was straight up emotionally and sometimes physically abusive. He also started off as a cocky, rude manwhore which does nothing for me. You can tell this book came out during the 50sog hype fest because we’re borrowing so much from it that it’s just not enjoyable. I don’t even like 50sog series but I would 100% re-read that series instead of this because it was that bad. Also, Joss’s roommate at one point thinks she has cancer and Joss manages it to make it all about herself. I’m sorry I just couldn’t root for anybody in this and the only reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because Samantha Young CAN write. “Villain” by her was one of the reasons why I started from the beginning of her works because I enjoyed it so much, but this has none of the magic that was in that. Even the sex scenes in this were boring and not even hot, which I can happily say the quality in them have improved judging by her later works like “Villain.”

If you liked this: awesome! That’s great and I’m sorry you had to read about me ripping on it. You’re entitled to love this just like I am to dislike it. That’s awesome if you had a great experience whilst reading this and I wish I could say the same, but I approach all of my reviews with 100% honesty and this is no exception.

Ps. Farts shouldn’t be in romance novels. I’m sorry maybe I’m a traitor to my gender or reinforcing “unrealistic female expectations” but all farts are gross lol. Like I’m not gonna get anything out of a book by mentioning farting like that doesn’t make me relate to the characters any better.

A friend of my recommended this to me & I’m so glad I read it!! I’ve always dreamt of living abroad, especially in the UK, so it was really exciting to read a story set in Edinburgh. I love love & this book put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. After I finished, I found all the updates about Jocelyn & Braden to keep up with their story and it was just the closure I needed.

Fantastic!

If I could’ve I would’ve finished this in one sitting but ya know, life.

I love Samantha Young and was planning to read this for the longest and I’m so glad I finally did!
The story is lovely but the characters are AMAZING. Literally every single one!

Okay I have recently found Samantha Young and am now obsessed! I actually read the next generation series to this On Loverose Lane first and fell in love so came back to this! It was a unique perspective to first read about Braden and Jocelyn as parents in love rose lane and then read their love story 🥰🥰

This author has such a way of making you FEEL the tension and angst between the characters. I loved this book so much. There was love, chemistry, traumas. It had everything! Can’t wait to read their whole series!

Great book. Having just visited Scotland a couple of weeks ago I can truly appreciate the setting of this story. I absolutely loved Scotland and its beautiful landscapes.

I loved the story and the depth of the characters.

I can't wait to read more of Ms. Young's novels.
