I kept wavering between 3 stars and 4, but since I'm interested enough to got get the next book in the series, I settled on 4. You definitely have to have a strong stomach to read this series though -- the descriptions of the rape/murders are extremely horrific.

The nature of the content makes this a difficult read, but easy to read if you get my drift. Not sure I have the courage to read more of this series. I dreamt about the book it had me that hooked and spooked me that much.
