Finally picked this one up after seeing it everywhere! If you’ve been curious about On Wings of Blood, it’s giving off Fourth Wing meets vampires with a Harry Potter vibes. I mean - academy setting, dragons, and vampires? You already know I was in.
Medra (the FMC) and Blake (the MMC) definitely gave me mixed emotions! Blake is that super possessive, grumpy alpha type - and while I do love some of that, the constant “mine” thing was a little much. And Medra? She’s fierce and capable, which I loved. It was nice to finally have a FMC that already knew how to hold her own. But.. her habit of jumping to conclusions drove me crazy.
Overall, I had fun with this one! Can’t wait to see where the story goes next and already starting book two!
