Overall decent storyline!
There are some things that felt clunky in the plot and some things that didn’t make a ton of sense (is there a tie-in to Camelot lore? - there must be but it wasn’t clear or explored much in this book)
Also the two main characters relationship growth was a bit disjointed but will continue series

Super fast paced and you definitely need to finish her Blood of a Fae series first to truly understand where Medra comes from (literally). It’s very clear where the author pulled from Zodiac Academy, Fourth Wing, and Harry Potter so enjoyable to pick out the pieces along the way!

It was hard to connect with the characters, but they’re growing on me enough to read book 2!

I honestly don’t understand how On Wings of Blood got lumped in with Harry Potter or Fourth Wing in the marketing blurb. That comparison feels criminally misleading.

This book was such a mess—dare I say a garbage soup of ideas. Just because something sounds cool on its own doesn’t mean it belongs in the same story. The result was chaotic and juvenile, with absolutely no narrative focus.

I have never DNF'ed a book, but if I had, I should have for this one.

I kept reading hoping it would redeem itself—but it just… didn’t. There’s nothing I can point to as a redeeming factor except for that fun ritual party time.

Hard pass. Will I read the next one because I am a masochist? Probably.

This story gathered momentum as the storyline unfolded. I enjoyed the world building and character development and look forward to seeing how Medea and Blake overcome the final developments.

Absolutely loved the plot of this book, the characters, and the romance. This had the potential to be a 5 star read. But the book needed better editing. The writing was inconsistent and sometimes certain lines didn't make sense. The author would contradict herself by stating a fact of the world in one chapter, and then changing that fact in the next. Regardless, I will be reading the second one, because I can't get enough of Blake Drakharrow. The enemies-to-lovers romance was very well done.
