I wasn't 100% sold on this one when I chose to read it but I at least wanted to give it a shot. The writing was fine, and the FMC seemed okay, but the MMC just... nah. The weird class dynamics wasn't my vibe.

Overall, not my cup of tea.

The world in this book is lush and brutal, with angels, politics, rebellion, and so much drama! but it never felt confusing or too heavy. I was hooked from the first chapter..

It's about Medra Pendragon, last of the dragon riders, wakes up in Sangratha, a realm dominated by highblood vampires, after a mysterious sacrifice in her own world..

She’s sharp, strong, and secretly vulnerable in a way that just makes you root for her..

Also: the plot actually moves. No filler, no dragging. Just action, secrets, betrayal, and a twist that made me scream (in the best way)..

If you’re into dark fantasy with wings, spice, rebellion, and seriously swoony tension, this is your next obsession..

This book was AMAZING. It engaged me from page one, and automatically engaged me into wanting to read the second book. The vibes were there and so much emotion. This book is a perfect mixture of all the Romantasy books I love. And the bond between Blake and Medra was the best enemies to lovers I’ve read in a while. This book was absolute perfection. I’m obsessed not one page was boring in this book.
