As with practically all academia books the main trope is bullying, so no surprise there. These characters really need fleshing out. If you blink the “consort battle” is over. After practically the whole book they progress to lovers at warp speed then almost as quickly back to enemies. As soon as that happens, hi dragon! Bye dragon. The end.

Now I love a good cliffhanger… but I do need something to actually hang onto. I will probably read book 2 but only because I like to finish things and am hoping it’s a bit better.

Ahhh Medra! Was wondering where you went.. The banter in this book is surely entertaining.  Certainly liked the Lies and betrayals. Blake, Blake, dear unkind, black hearted vampire Prince, how thou fuketh this up.. ok on to book 2
