This book wow— this book kind of really stitched all the broken pieces of me back together. I never thought I’d say this but I absolutely love how human and how flawed Magnolia and BJ are. They are this picture of a very very hard fought battle. It didn’t end with just the engagement, that wasn’t what magically resolved their relationship. They really had to stumble in the dark with trust and fear and grief and finally getting back together. I can honestly say that a toxic relationship does not become healthy overnight and really wading through this book very slowly made that all the more special for Magnolia and BJ.
I love how Magnolia Parks as an entire series does not shy away from very very flawed and very very human characters. It’s outrageous in its depiction if wealth and society (in an excessive but kind of somewhat true way). But what was always in the ground was how everyone has flaws they had to go through— struggles, challenges, pain, sudden things that happen— which one has to eventually suffer through for the light to break.
The book was so poetically written but it was quite hilarious too. I love the full box set plus the extensions. I love the found family. I absolutely adored the vows. I love Julian and Daisy Haites. And I really just love that I went through this whole series, never knowing how Magnolia and BJ were going to find one another and be in a good place— until it just finally happened.
It really is worth the read and there’s just so so much beautiful learnings and meaningful lines from the book. I’ll really cherish this one and it will always have a special place in my heart.

I feel like a proud mum watching my babies finally get their shit together and find their happy ending.
Now for my other children (Daisy and Christian) plz hurry up and sort your shit for my sanity.
Also for the Henry, Jonah, Taura of it all I am STRESSED (Secretly rooting for Henry/Taura endgame).

Felt very disappointed with this book and was expecting more. Also felt like it did not need to be 700 pages.
