This was really good! I love that all the guys are psycho. This is also a super unique take on an RH-some reasons i won’t say as they’re spoiler-y but I love that this wasn’t a bully romance! A naive heroine isn’t my favorite trope, but this was written in a way where there’s so much potential for character development, I think it’s going to be really well done. I would have liked to have seen a little more background with the guys to really feel the relationship development, but that did not take too much away from the story. Can’t wait for the next one.

I like the men. Mostly Zane because he's insane. But this book is basically 75% just the MMCS going on about how much they love the FMC, and her going on about how they're her best friends but kind of shitty friends. I skimmed A LOT.

Pretty sure my heart stopped

Ok so this book is different....I don't always need kickbutt heroines but I have to say that Ellie is hard to like. I also have to admit that I totally understand her level of naivete - the girl is so sheltered that she's the only one not in on the secret. I actually just feel really sorry for her but I get the feeling after that ending she's going to grow up fast. Then there are the 5 psychos in love with her. Two are serial killers but the rest don't fall too far behind....have to admit though I really liked them. Their secret though it's going to but them hard...can't wait!

I think my brain shut down for 5 minutes after I finished this book, I just stared at that last page in shock.

This book is fantastic. And this is coming from someone who might prefers an older character cast. Holy smokes!

I love Ellie. She’s innocent and naive during this book and I think she’s just so cute. Her persona fits with where her character needs to be at the beginning of the series, and I for one can not wait to see her grow.

All the guys bring certain aspects to the book and development of the story, but I think I can honestly say Zane is my favorite. He is just so quirky and fun. Yes, I love each of the guys for their own reasons. Zane just had me laughing the most!

The second book can’t come out soon enough. I need to know what happens next!!

LOVE THISS SERIES

I truly do love how the guys are toward Ellie. Some things I disagree on how they handle things, but it’s not something that gets me mad especially knowing their hearts were in the right place besides them being somewhat selfish (but I’m still fine with that too hehehe). My favorite part is how they all realized El is their soulmate and they didn’t hesitate to wait for her. Other male characters usually have a million women they already slept with while knowing the love of their life. This was a nice change, and I’m obsessed. I cried knowing about Ellie’s insecurities because sometimes they only get stronger. It’s good to know that she’s fighting them away though because she is stronger than the boys give her credit for. Can’t wait for what’s to come

I wasn't sure if I wanted to finish this book. I loved it in the beginning. It was written well and the characters were interesting (for the most part). I just couldn't get around Ellie. She would completely disregard something is wrong, just brush over it as if it were a trick of her mind. She is completely blind and it is rather annoying.

Who is that ignorant of their surroundings?

I understand these characters are in high school (surprisingly considering the first chapter is of the boys killing someone). They act like some mafia group in their thirties that everyone else knows about and fears yet Ellie knows nothing about their extracurricular activities. It just seems too convenient to me.

What really got me questioning my ability to finish this book was the miscommunication or lack there of. I hate books where lack of communication is the main part of the book. I understand the boys didn't tell Ellie the truth of what they did to protect her (still think they should've told her something) but her reasoning?
SpoilerShe was kidnapped but refused to tell the guys she was even though they suspect she is lying because she felt like she wanted to prove her kidnapper wrong. What?? Why does that matter?? THEY KIDNAPPED YOU! You should be telling everyone!

I'm giving this two stars because I enjoyed the writing and was interested to keep going but I don't think I can.

Oh buddy what a ride this one was! I've always enjoyed Katie's stories, so I was super excited to dive into her first contemporary. I mean it has a secret society, psychos, and a rich elite academy.

The story has major twists and turns that keep you on your toes. I literally have no idea where this series is going to go and cannot even guess after that cliff.

The FMC!
Ellie is not the typical all-around kick-butt heroine. She's 100% the sheltered, naive girl, who is going to go from oblivious to obvious over the series. We've started to see character development in this one and seriously I cannot wait for her to embrace her inner darkness.

The Guys!
Ryker, Zane, Landon, Beckett and Dominic - Katie knows how to write the psychos... but in the best way possible! I love the dynamic these guys have together as with Ellie. She's clueless as the day is long about how they feel about her, but it's only a matter of time before it all explodes into feelings and obsession.

The Smut!
This is a slow burnnnn. So alas no major steam in here, but there's the beginning of an inferno! I'm here for the next book!
