Infinitely better than an already great film. Characters are more accentuated - drawn in more detail - than their film counterparts. I feel like I really got to take part in their magical world, as opposed to experiencing a great movie.
Things like the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, training of the D.A., and the O.W.L.'s were given their stay in the limelight. QUIDITCH is one of the main sub-plots: so many character moments are anchored on this popular wizard sport.
I can't recommend it enough, and I'll be starting book 6 tonight. Haven't been this excited to read Harry Potter - to enter this amazing world Rowling has crafted - ever.
If you need to like the fire for reading Harry Potter again, just do some reading on Pottermore - that's what got me.
