Cynical and darkly tart. Was enjoying first half and despised last half . First Waugh. Can see the appeal tho this particular tomb will never be a favourite

Second Read 10/10:

Fuck you, Brenda. Go stab yourself in the face. I hate your stupid fucking fictional guts. I hope all your limbs get diseased and fall off. You are the worst.

First Read 11/09:

I think it speaks volume for Waugh's subtle word weaving skills that I am able to come out of this book knowing what I do, seeing as how I am neither British nor particularly adept at unraveling satire. (It tends to confuse my emotions, being inherently deceitful -- satire being deceitful, not my emotions.) But I enjoyed this book, so I think that's enough.
