This volume introduces Sawada, the younger girl with a crush on Hori. I really like this arc because a) valid and understandable, and b) it's sweet seeing Miyamura act like a big brother to her. Both in terms of defending her from bullies and taking care of her when she forgets her house key, and also in how they squabble and bicker over Hori. I want to see more of their interactions; there wasn't much more in the anime, but maybe here in the manga...?

I'm lowkey obsessed with how the
first kiss
is done. I like how subtle and tentative it all is. Such good high school first love vibes. And just as wholesome as the main love story is the friendship portrayed between various characters. Scenes like
Shindou having to eat the cheese candy because he can't miss the chance to be fed by Miyamura, or Tooru, Yuki and Sengoku coming to visit at the bakery, or Tooru seeing Miyamura when he's trying on a sailor outfit
are absolutely hilarious.

That vignette about Hori's ear cleaning and shoulder massage services is so relatable, somehow? It feels specifically an Asian thing. Like, I know people who are like that exactly.

Lastly, in the previous volume I wasn't very happy with the weight thing, and here it gets picked up again. It's dealt with a little (too?) easily, but I'm glad there was that message/resolution to it.
