The last thing Doe expects to happen when being dragged to a bar by his best friend is to encounter the man who broke his heart when they were teenagers. He definitely doesn’t expect to still want this man just as fiercely as he did back then but is this a true second chance at a HEA for them or is it just another opportunity for Xane to crush Doe’s heart again.....
Perhaps if this had been longer I would’ve been happier with this. I like second chance romances but when they come with true working things out. There was a promise of a talk but when it actually happened nothing of importance was talked about — while Doe was ready to move forward I think the way Xane dropped him all those years ago shouldve at least been talked about it. The ending fell short for me because of it, tbh.
