the two final sentences made my heart drop to my stomach. Shit.
This is a really good book. It's very sad but definitely one of the best YA fiction that exists. If you enjoyed reading Judy Blume books, you will enjoy this book. the main characters are likable and intelligent.

First, this book is for kids. Let's get that out of the way, because it's fairly emotionally complex for a kids' book. I think the characters were written as realistic teenagers. The main characters did a lot of stuff that came off as kinda cringe or "I'm 14 and this is deep," (the cigarette? C'mon...) but they also felt a lot of very complex feelings and reacted to them the way real kids might. Their resiliency was pretty heartwarming and ultimately was what I enjoyed the most about this story.
I enjoyed it, perhaps grudgingly. I'll admit that I only read this book because an old friend wanted me to read it, and even though I keep finding that I don't enjoy most books by this author, I keep coming back to them because of this story in particular. I wish they were all written this well.

If i could rate this book six stars i would. I feel like i have officialy found my favourite book. I had alerady watched the film before reading this book and i was sobbbing while watching it. I have this problem that i can't read a book if i have watched the film. But i have loved this story really very much. I love AGUSTUS AND HAZEL characters so deep and beautiful and meaningfull. I loved the qoutes in this book and how it explained life and death. "Some infinites are bigger than others " ifykwhat i mean. ABSOULUTELY LOVED THE BOOK.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
i am so late to the club in reading this book, but i really liked it. although i didn’t shed any tears (it takes quite a bit for me to do so), it was very bittersweet.
