My heart is right now in a thousand pieces. I’m broken. This book hurt but also change my life perception. That each person has a limited time and you have to enjoy every single second of it. But that end, it’s hard to recover after that. Although I have to say that sometimes it was difficult to understand so much metaphors. I swear I’m not dumb. It was just strange to read this after behind use to read other types of writers.

When this book came out originally, I was aged similarly to the teenagers of the story. It hit hard for all the reasons it would to a teen.

Now, a decade later, it hits so much harder in very different ways. The development of the secondary adult characters is paramount. The questions asked are genuine, the fears and acknowledgments are honest.
From the anticipation of loss, the unpredictability of fate, to the raw experiences of early grief.
This book is not just a cliche teen romance drama.
It asks hard questions of the reader as you witness the many approaches to anticipated loss, and the aftermath.

The best book I've read in a while.... Amazing read for anyone with a soul
