Review: The prequel is the perfect start to the series. In the prequel, you get a good understanding of The Shadow's values. Kilo embodies what a shadow should be. His empathy for others even enemies. Kilo hopes to protect and take care of others the way his village did even when he couldn't depend on his family. I do think Kilo was hard on himself but only because of his loyalty to his Shadow’s Creed.

Such a great prequel! Though short, it carried the same weight as a full-length novel, which I thought was rather impressive. I liked how we got to see a different side to Kilo and those around him. Another great addition to an amazing series!
