Had to DNF at 55%. Even halfway through, Jack didn't really any redeeming moments. Also, their physical relationship came out of nowhere and felt so out of character for their dynamic up until that point.
To be fair April is not the right time to read a Christmas novella but I read the first book in the series and wanted to read this story so here we are.
I really enjoyed the banter and how the characters met and became a couple.

Don't read this review if you don't want to be spoiled.
“You have captured my heart piece by piece, weaving your way into my very soul, and before I knew it, you had claimed all of me.”
Presley has been eagerly anticipating spending Christmas with her family in Aspen Grove. However, her plans are disrupted when Jack - her boss- insists she work through the holidays to secure a major business deal. Determined to enjoy her vacation, Presley negotiates terms: Jack can accompany her to Aspen Grove, but he must pretend to be her boyfriend and help fulfill her holiday wishlist.

This was SO good! The perfect spicy Christmas novella to add to your tbr. Jack is her grinchy boss and Presley loves Christmas. When he convinces her to let him come home with her for Christmas so she can keep working on her vacation, he pretends to be her boyfriend but he can’t keep the underlying feelings he’s had for her under wraps. He’s determined to help her cross off her Christmas wishlist, which was SO cute I loved that plot point. The ending wrapped up nicely as well and for it being a novella there was a lot of plot!

This is as a lighthearted but fun read, but was not a very complex book. The book is an open door romance. The characters themselves seem a little 2 dimensional, both them and their wants/desires are pretty simplistic. They also change from resisting against their attraction to giving in full force so fast it nearly gave me whiplash. Some of the language used within the sex scenes also comes across as a little crude at times.
The final conflict in the book also seems very simplified, with it being completely resolved within a page or two. As mentioned this is not a complex book, book is a good read for when you want a fluffy (and also smutty) holiday read to spend a few hours reading.

This was such a sweet and fun holiday novella! I loved Jack and Presley, and even though this was short, it felt like such the perfect pace! It was so cozy and cute and I just loved every part of it!!
Thank you so much ann einerson for this ARC — I have a feeling we’re not done with this family just yet and I can’t wait for what’s to come

Sweet, cosy, and inoffensive little holiday romance about a woman and her insufferable boss. It was short and mostly worked with the exception of needing a bit more development before they got to Aspen Cove on their working relationship - I didn’t really buy that he was a bad boss that much.
I also think that Presley should have been aged up about 3-4 years at least because the age gap was a bit of an ick.
The story felt a bit juvenile for the ages most of the characters were supposed to be.

A short, cute, spicy holiday, Novella. The brothers were hilarious, and Lola was absolutely adorable. I definitely want more of these characters, especially Marlow and Dylan!
