I really enjoyed this book. The author doesn't limit herself to just talking about sex. Her journey to discover better sex allows her to learn a lot about herself and I felt empowered reading it. It should be mandatory reading as part of the sex ed curriculum.

Seemed interesting at first and then kind of changed directions but overall I enjoyed reading about this woman's sexual journey

For all the author's openness and honesty about sex and her experiences, there is still a natural element of awkwardness around the subject in our society and I think this has manifested itself in the 'Bridget Jones light' tone that the book has at times. I did find this a little irritating (and I say that as a big fan of Bridget Jones) but think it's excusable since the author doesn't claim to be an expert in the field, and to her credit shares both the highs and lows of her journey with the reader very honestly.

RTC but an interesting read and well written. Often these types of books can be a little like a stream of consciousness which can be off putting but this was not like that and I really enjoyed it.

This nonfiction written by Lucy-Anne Holmes introduced me to a lot of concepts and ideas that I had never previously considered before, while also encouraging female empowerment in sexual situations (providing statistics about internalised misogyny, socially-learned repression, and more). I found her writing engaging and eye-opening; my only critique is that I wanted more! Although I appreciate this text was more memoir than self-help, I would've loved it if she had delved into more of the gory details of her topics! Overall a good read.
