This was a great story. Who doesn’t love an angsty workplace romance with off the charts chemistry and a dirty talking COO???? MMC Cole is an emotionally closed off guy who falls hard for FMC Delilah. Delilah is smart and hardworking. She is passionate about her career. She was able to breakthrough Cole’s walls and make him see that having money and power isn’t enough to have a full life. The HEA was totally worth it!

A one-night stand with no names no shame leads to a billionaire workplace romance in Coldhearted King when Delilah, after splitting with her boyfriend goes to a bar, determined to take control of her life and rid herself of her annoying V-card. Mission accomplished, she walks into her new job and meets her boss only to realise they have carnal knowledge of each other, and said new boss doesn’t believe in co-incidences but instead thinks she knew exactly who he was and targeted him.
Sometimes you just need a good contemporary romance and this book definitely delivers. The storyline was a familiar one but was well written with strong dialogue between the hero and heroine and I enjoyed the characters who were well rounded. Yes, Cole was a bit of an ass but that just allowed for his redemption, and you knew he had come good in the end. There was an obvious chemistry between him and Delilah right from the moment they met, and while I personally would have made him grovel a bit more, theirs was an enjoyable journey to love.

While I didn’t enjoy the late stage breakup act I guess I do understand the need to write something to shake it up, but I just found it annoying.
Not annoying enough to knock this book down though! I absolutely enjoy the crap out of this story lol. I definitely like our FMC, Delilah, she’s so kind and sweet. Meanwhile our MMC is a very broody rich boy who doesn’t know what love is.
What really makes this 5 starts for me though is the groveling our MMC does. I’ve read 70 books so far this year and there’s been like 2 other MMC’s that grovel anywhere near Cole and these grovels are almost enough to make me forgive them.

This is Cole and Delilah’s story and you will fall in love with them both! I’ve been a fan of this author and read her books for several years now. She does not disappoint. I highly recommend ALL her books.
Delilah is one fierce determined FMC. She has dedicated herself to her education and getting into a position to take care of her mother. She has never let anything sway her from her goals.
Cole is head of a huge corporation along with his two brothers. He has put his position ahead of anything personal in his life. Determined to let no one come between his dedicated path.
Until one night changes both their destinies. Delilah fresh off being dumped by her coworker boyfriend and Cole needing time to come to terms with a meeting with his brothers meet in a dive bar. Needless to say that night solidifies the start of their story.

I loved the way Cole and Delilah Fall for each other, I loved how the story showcases their relationship and struggles.. I loved how they both shared themselves without realizing that they were both feeling the same way .. it was beautiful.
I’m now a fan of this series and because Cole King Brothers played a part in what went down between him and Delilah I’m now invested into these two meddling characters stories!
A wonderful intense Romantic story!!

One of my favorite tropes is the billionaire trope and I especially LOVE when the MMC does the whole “I don’t do relationships” which Cole totally does. But, getting to watch him want more from their “arrangement” and not understand why made the story even better.
