So same characters, different subject matter. I feel like this was Cabot's homage to Blume's Forever. Maybe just me...

I think I would have liked this book more if I had read it, not listened to it. Towards the end it dragged a little, I felt. But on the whole, another solid book and cast of characters from Cabot!
This is also a quick read. It's good but it's not the best I've read by Meg Cabot.
I'm such a Meg Cabot whore. This is the second book in her All American Girl series, which is essentially a Princess Diaries clone with an older girl who's not a royal. The first book was fun, but this one was not as great, and I can't quite pinpoint why.

Habe ich mich immer aufgeregt über Samantha. Wiederholend (bis zum kaum aushalten) Panik schieben anstatt einfach mit ihrem superboyfriend David zu sprechen. Lucy ist doch eindeutig die coolere der beiden!
Such a great, funny book, and I wish we could've had more Sam and David, this was a great, great book, loved rereading it!
I thought All-American Girl was a really cute and fun book. I didn't know there was a sequel to it until I browsed Meg Cabot's author profile on Goodreads. When I saw Ready or Not I thought "Hey, why not?" and bought the book. I don't necessarily regret buying it since it still had some funny lines but overall I did not like the book.
When I picked it up I honestly didn't think (even despite the title) that it would be about Samantha deciding whether or not she wants to have sex with her boyfriend. As long as they're sure and use protection, why not? But the way Samantha obsessed. so. freaking. much. about. it. That's all the Ready or Not is it about. Really. There's nothing else in here, nothing of substance.
I don't understand why the book was even written. All-American Girl ended perfectly and didn't need a sequel.
