3.5/5 stars

Though not as good as the first, this is still extremely entertaining! Basically everything I said for the first still applies here. The only think I need to add is that Lucy is actually a far more interesting character than Sam and I'd like a spin-off of her.

I was really excited when I heard that All-American Girl had a sequel. While the book wasn't bad, it was sort of unnecessary. It didn't take anything away from the story but it also didn't add anything to it. I still enjoyed myself reading it but not as much as the first book.

Dnf-ed the second time.

I couldn't deal.

DEFINITELY not my favorite of Meg Cabot's books, she could have done a much better job with it, but...oh well

I read this when I was a teen, and I liked it, but as an adult it's a DNF. It reminds me of The Princess Diaries in a bad way, the early books where Mia never grows.

I really like Meg Cabot. And I really like Samantha, her recurring character who saved the President's life and now dates the President's son. She's smart and funny and does not have a hard life, and does not have an easy life.

"1.5 out of 5 stars. Meg Cabot has a way of writing books that I usually like ... but in this instance the narrative ramblings and worries of Sam make reading the book a very slow process. I mean I did enjoy..."
